The Vinton Edward Jones office is currently located on Walnut Avenue behind the offices of Mikula Harris Branding, Advertising, and Design, and the Vinton Fire Department.

The business, headed up by Financial Advisor George Lester, was previously located at 103 East Lee Avenue until it was displaced by the catastrophic fire in downtown Vinton on July 2, 2022.

The firm briefly moved to another location at the corner of Gus Nicks Boulevard and Orange Avenue, but quickly returned to Vinton when they found available office space within the town.

Their original Lee Avenue office was the home of the historic Fitzpatrick drugstore for many years and became the Edward Jones office in 1996. George Lester was assigned to the Vinton office in 2007.

He says the suite of offices at 10 Walnut Avenue is just temporary, with hopes to rebuild on Lee Avenue.

The Edward Jones office is located, for the time being, at 10 Walnut Avenue, behind Mikula Harris and the Vinton Fire Station.

George has worked as a financial advisor since 2006.  He is assisted by Senior Branch Office Administrator Angie Cash. Their goal is to help individuals develop and prioritize investment strategies to meet long-term financial goals.

Lester and Cash say they are very thankful for the outpouring of caring and concern from not just clients, but the Town of Vinton and its citizens, who came to their assistance after the fire.

Their office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call 540-342-2287 for more information.

The Edward Jones office was forced to move due to the devastating fire in downtown Vinton on July 2, 2022.
