Liles currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Vinton Planning Commission. He is serving his sixth year as a member of the Vinton Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

“I’m running because Vinton has always been my home and I love the sense of community it possesses,” said Liles. “My goal is to see the business community thrive so our citizens have a variety of new establishments and expand the growth in Vinton.”

He is also a member of the Urban Development Areas Steering Committee for Vinton, and works on the Roanoke County Economic Development Focus Group.

Liles is an active volunteer for the United Way of Roanoke Valley Community Investment Process and a volunteer for Big Brother’s Big Sisters of Roanoke Valley.

“I’m passionate about Vinton and I feel now is the opportune time to be involved in the planning of the future of the town I grew up in,” added Liles. “I want to get the citizens involved and hear what they want to see for our town’s future.  That’s why I chose ‘Liles will Listen’ as a slogan, because I truly want to hear from the citizens to make our Town of Vinton the best it can be.”
