Hats off to those that brought the Feeding America SWVA Food Truck Festival to the Farmers’ Market.

You could smell the food cooking when you got out of your car and walked towards the market. Hundreds turned out for the event. It was so much fun seeing the families (as you can see the Hetherington family in the picture) come down and enjoy the food and band plus socialize with others. Thanks to all the vendors, organizers and people that came.

Another event coming up here in Vinton is this Saturday, 10- 4, the Vinton Fall Festival with lots of vendors and entertainment on two stages. Don’t miss out on another fun-filled day. Then bring your chairs and join in the fun at Mingle at the Market with Hott Sauce band from 7-10. Yes, a full day but you can do it. Check website for schedule, www.vintonchamber.com or call 343-1364.

Great show on at Mill Mountain Theatre, “Little Shop of Horrors,” a fantastic, funny musical. Looks like a show direct from Broadway! So don’t pay big bucks to go to NYC– see it here at MMT Center In The Square,

It’s Homecoming Week at WBHS. Each day has different theme: Monday/Tuesday, ’50s and “Grease.” We have Haley Lawson (Sandy) and Jaylen Wheeler (Danny). Then we have Tammy Newcomb as UPS Delivery and Package Marcee Cook.

Julia Kelly Wore her Grandma Betty Kelly ‘s wedding dress from the ’50s, looking so cute; Ruth and Nickie (Pink Ladies) Library Copy crew Dottie, Jeff and Suzanne. Just a few pictures from this week; always fun at WBHS for Homecoming Week. Yes, WBHS has Spirit!
