Dogwood Festival issues call for vendors, parade participants

The Vinton Dogwood Festival is accepting parade participants and vendors for the 62nd annual festival, to be held April 26-30, 2017. Groups and individuals are encouraged to enter parade floats, marching entries, bands, costumed characters and novelty units in the parade.

All types of festival vendors are welcome including: handmade crafts, non-profit and professional food vendors and business, retail and non-profits for the business showcase.

The festival will begin with a carnival on April 26 and continue through April 30. On Saturday, April 29 there will be a wide variety of activities for all ages, including a craft show, crowning of the Dogwood Queen and court, live entertainment on two stages, children’s area with free activities, car show, 5K run/walk, food and retail vendors and the annual parade, which begins at 2:30 p.m.
