The Virginia High School League winter sports season officially begins next week and
William Byrd will have a full week of action.
Both Terrier basketball teams will open their seasons next Tuesday, November 28,
against Cave Spring. The boys will be home and the girls will be at Cave Spring.
The wrestling team will hit the mats in competition on Wednesday, November 29, with a match at Salem
A busy week for the basketball teams continues a week from today, on November 30, with the girls heading to Lynchburg to play E.C. Glass and the boys hosting Christiansburg. Then, on Friday December 1, both teams play Glenvar as the girls have their home opener and the boys play at Glenvar.
On Saturday, December 2, the indoor track team will head to Liberty University for a
meet.
The wrestling team is also in Lynchburg for a tournament at Heritage and the swim team
will hit the water for a meet at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.
