Four band students from William Byrd Middle School participated in the 2024 District VI
Middle School All-District band performance on February 17. The musicians met as two bands
for the first time late in the morning on Feb. 16 and performed an entire concert with two new
bands and directors the next afternoon on Feb. 17. The performance was held at Blacksburg High
School.
WBMS All District students included Julissa Garcia (7th grade, clarinet), Sabrina Wray (8th grade,
clarinet), Levi Whitcomb, (8th grade clarinet), and Emma Whitcomb (8th grade flute).
District VI stretches all the way from Lynchburg to Blacksburg.
