VINTON–The Vinton Fall Festival scheduled for October 8 has been moved to a new indoor location at the Lancerlot Sports Complex at 1110 Vinyard Road in Vinton from 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Admission is free for the event and there will be fun for all ages.
Activities will include vendors of crafts, home décor, and food. Additional activities will include: entertainment stages, the annual “Doggie Costume Contest”, bounce houses, a cow milking game, and face painting.
The Lancerlot Sports Complex is located behind Lake Drive Plaza and McDonald’s in Vinton. Plenty of parking will be available at the Lancerlot Sports Complex and Colonial Downs.
The event was moved due to the continued rain forecast for Saturday. The scheduled 5K race which is also part of Fall Festival has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled. The Mingle at the Market, featuring Fuzzy Logic, which was to be held on the Vinton Farmers’ Market has been postponed until November 5.
The annual Vinton Breakfast Lions Club Pancake Breakfast will still be held at the VFW Hall in downtown Vinton on Lee Avenue, from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. although other events have moved to the Lancerlot.
Tickets are $6 for adults and $5 for children at the door. Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, and beverage. The pancakes are all you can eat.
Proceeds from the breakfast benefit the many programs the Vinton Breakfast Lions are involved in which directly benefit the Vinton community and beyond.
