The Vinton First Aid Crew will hold an open house at the station located at 110 West Jackson Avenue on Sunday, September 24, from 2 to 6 p.m. The community is invited to attend.

There will be activities for the children, tours of the facility, blood pressure checks, and the opportunity to talk with members of the crew. The new Vinton Police Department Mobile Services Community Unit will be onsite with their grill, and possibly some free ice cream.

September has been declared Recruitment Month for the Vinton First Aid Crew. Prospective members will be able to find out more about what it means to be a member of the crew and the vital role they serve in the community and surrounding area.

Individuals ages 16 and up are eligible to join the crew. More information and an application are available online at www.vintonems.com.
