The Haymaker Town Express will be playing at the VFW Hall on Lee Avenue in downtown Vinton on Friday, May 11 from 7 to 10 p.m.
The Roanoke Valley Ramblers will be featured on Friday, May 25.
Admission is $5 for the VFW events. Hot dogs, sides, and desserts are on sale, along with door prizes and a cake walk.
The Roanoke Valley Fiddle and Banjo Club will hold its monthly show on Saturday, May 5 at the Woodman of the World Building on Peters Creek Road from 6 to 9 p.m.
The show gets under way with open mic at 5:30, with everyone welcome to participate. The Shelton Brothers perform at 6 p.m., followed by Marvin Harlow and Friends (Stanley Brothers Tribute Show) at 6:55. Back in the Day Bluegrass Brethren performs at 8:05 p.m.
Adult admission is a $7 donation at the door. Children age 15 and under are admitted free. Advance tickets are available for $5 at the Salem Senior Center on Mondays and at Maiden & Son’s Garage Monday-Friday.
