The Mingle at the Market concert series sponsored by the Vinton Area Chamber of Commerce continues on Saturday, Aug. 12. The featured artists for this performance are Uptown, a brand new dance band, “playing your favorite 70’s funk, 80’s dance, pop, today’s top 40 and some classic rock.”

Mingle concerts are held from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. The price of admission is $5. Children under the age of 12 may attend at no charge.

The Mingle concert in July had record attendance. The new dance floor this year has generated a lot of excitement.

Food concessions on August 12 will be provided by Star City Succotash with an adult beverage garden provided by Blue Ridge Beverage and Deschutes Brewery.

Those who attend need to bring a lawn chair for seating. No pets are allowed. ID is required.

The remainder of this season’s concert schedule includes performances by Seven Mile Ford on September 9; Hott Sauce on October 14 with Fuzzy Logic closing out the 2017 season on November 11.

Platinum level sponsors are the Town of Vinton, the Vinton War Memorial, Twin Creeks Brewery, Vertex Signs, and Comfort Inn Valley View. Gold sponsors include Roanoke County, Freedom First, Vinton Roofing, and BB & T.

Silver level sponsors include HomeTrust Bank, Lotz, PFG, Cox Business, BNC Bank, Berkshire Health Care, the Vinton Moose Lodge, Magnets USA, Grand Rental Storage, GCR Tires & Service, and Cardinal IG. Bronze Level sponsors include: the Vinton Messenger, Member One, Appalachian Power, and Winter Storage.

More information is available from Chamber Executive Director Angie Chewning at 343-1364 or online at www.vintonchamber.com.
