The always-popular beach band, Tru Sol, will be performing at this year’s first Mingle at the Market on June 10.

The Vinton Area Chamber of Commerce kicks off the 2017 Mingle at the Market concert series in style with the always popular Tru Sol Band from Myrtle Beach, S.C.

In past years, Tru Sol has performed the Winter Concert held by the Chamber at Woodland Place in Vinton each February.

The Mingle concerts are held at the Farmers’ Market in Vinton from 6:30 until 10 p.m. Music begins at 7 p.m.

For the first time this year, children will be admitted to the Mingle concerts. Admission is $5; children under the age of 12 may attend at no charge. Everyone will be ID’d at the gate; those age 21 and over will be given a wrist band; under age 21 will be marked on their hand.

The Mingle concerts benefit a different charity each month. The June proceeds will go to the Vinton Luncheon Lions Club.

Food concessions on June 10 will be provided by Texas Tavern. There will be an adult beverage garden provided by Blue Ridge Beverage and Deschutes Brewery.

Those who attend need to bring a lawn chair for seating.

The remainder of this season’s concert schedule includes performances by Low Low Chariot and Rutledge on July 8; Uptown on August 12; Seven Mile Ford on September 9; and Hott Sauce on October 14. Fuzzy Logic will close out the 2017 season on November 11.

Platinum level sponsors for 2017 are the Town of Vinton, the Vinton War Memorial, and Comfort Inn Valley View. Gold sponsors include Roanoke County, Freedom First, Vinton Roofing, and BB & T. Silver level sponsors are HomeTrust Bank, Vertex, Lotz, PFG, Cox Business, BNC Bank, Berkshire Health Care, the Vinton Moose Lodge, Magnets USA, Grand Rental Storage, GCR Tires & Service, and Cardinal IG. Bronze Level sponsors include: The Vinton Messenger, Member One, Appalachian Power, and Winter Storage.

More information is available from Chamber Executive Director Angie Chewning at 343-1364.
