Pursuant to Virginia Code §
15.2-1800(B), the Town
Council of the Town of
Vinton, Virginia, gives notice
of a public hearing to be
held on Tuesday, June 16,
2026, at 6:00 p.m., or as
soon thereafter as practical,
in the Council Chambers of
the Vinton Municipal
Building, 311 South Pollard
Street, Vinton, Virginia.
The purpose of the public
hearing is to receive public
comments concerning the
renewal of a lease to Cargill
Incorporated for three (3)
parcels lying on the west
side of 11th Street near its
intersection with Booker
Avenue, which are identified
as Roanoke County Tax
Map Nos. 60.14-2-24,
60.14-2-25 and 60.14-2-26
and five (5) parcels lying on
Walnut Avenue (also known
as Railroad Avenue) near
its intersection with 11th
Street, which are identified
as Roanoke County Tax
Map Nos. 60.14-2-1, 60.14
2-2, 60.14-2-3, 60.14-2-4
and 60.14-2-5, all of which
are located in the Town of
Vinton, Virginia. The lease
shall commence on July 1,
2026, (“Commencement
Date”) and terminate on
June 30, 2027. The lease
shall renew itself
automatically on each
anniversary of the
Commencement Date, on
the same terms and
conditions for no more than
four additional one-year
renewal terms.
