The 2018 Town Election will be held on Tuesday, May 1, for citizens registered to vote in either the North Vinton or South Vinton precinct. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Election Day.
There are only two names on the ballot in this election. Two candidates, Sabrina McCarty and Mike Stovall, are running for two seats on Vinton Town Council. McCarty currently serves on council. Stovall has served on the Roanoke County School Board in the past.
The deadline to register to vote, or update an existing registration, was Monday, April 9. The deadline to request an absentee ballot to be mailed to you is Tuesday, April. The request must be received by the registrar by 5 p.m.
