The William Byrd cross country team was scheduled to run in the Group 4A, Region D championship meet on Wednesday at Randolph Park in Pulaski, but results were too late for publication. The top three teams and five individuals, not on those teams, advance to the state meet. Byrd’s girls figured to battle for a spot in the state and the boys’ were long shots to advance.
