The Class 3 state swim meet will be held at the Swim RVA Collegiate School Aquatics Center in Richmond this Friday, February 17. William Byrd will have nine swimmers competing in the meet.
“On Thursday we will head up to Richmond to wake up early Friday morning for prelims,” said Byrd coach Krista Martin. “The top 16 in each event will them come back to swim at finals at night. I cannot wait to see these swimmers compete at the state level. They have worked hard to get here and now it’s time to really get up and race and see what they can do.”
Byrd swimmers in the meet include Cole Kovacevic, Bruno DeMelo, Jay Rozenboom, Blake Richardson, Evan Copening, Colin Murtaugh, Michael Hoyos for the boys and Lindsay Murtaugh and Gabby Romeo for the girls.
