Four Vinton area students earned degrees at Bridgewater College’s commencement Saturday, May 5.
They were among the approximately 368 graduating seniors and their families who heard Carrie Morgridge, vice president and chief disruptor of the Morgridge Family Foundation, issue a challenge to use their power, voice and education to make the world a better place.
Receiving degrees were:
- Jessica Dawson of Vinton, majoring in health and exercise science.
- Maggie Flowers of Vinton, majoring in psychology, from Vinton.
- Lauren James of Vinton, majoring in environmental science.
- Ellen Minnich of Roanoke, majoring in business administration.
The college’s president, Dr. David W. Bushman, conferred the degrees at the ceremony.
