Low Low Chariot featuring J.D. Sutphin is returning to the Farmers’ Market Stage on July 8 for the second Mingle at the Market concert, along with Rutledge.

This season’s second Mingle at the Market concert is set for Saturday, July 8, at the Vinton Farmers’ Market, sponsored by the Vinton Area Chamber of Commerce. Executive Director Angie Chewning describes this as a “country doubleheader” featuring the Rutledge and Low Low Chariot bands.

Rutledge is a Roanoke-based modern country band featuring musicians Adam Rutledge singing lead vocals and playing guitar, Jason Weeks on guitar, banjo and mandolin, Brian Holt, guitar and vocals, Andy Neikirk, bass and vocals, Brett Fulghum on drums, and Roger Rutledge, keyboards and vocals.

Low Low Chariot features J.D. Sutphin.

Mingle concerts are held from 6:30 until 10 p.m. Music begins at 7 p.m. The price of admission is $5. Children under the age of 12 may attend at no charge.

The June Mingle concert had a record attendance and featured a new dance floor, which got rave reviews from the crowd.

Food concessions on July 8 will be provided by Fast Burger with an adult beverage garden provided by Blue Ridge Beverage and Deschutes Brewery.

Those who attend need to bring a lawn chair for seating. No pets are allowed. ID is required.

The remainder of this season’s concert schedule includes performances by Uptown on August 12; Seven Mile Ford on September 9; and Hott Sauce on October 14. Fuzzy Logic will close out the 2017 season on November 11.

Platinum level sponsors are the Town of Vinton, the Vinton War Memorial, Twin Creeks Brewery, and Comfort Inn Valley View. Gold sponsors include Roanoke County, Freedom First, Vinton Roofing, and BB&T.

Silver level sponsors include Hometrust Bank, Lotz, PFG, Cox Business, BNC Bank, Berkshire Health Care, the Vinton Moose Lodge, Magnets USA, Grand Rental Storage, GCR Tires & Service, and Cardinal IG.
