Police looking for leads on Lynn Haven Baptist burglary

The Vinton Police Department needs the public’s assistance on a burglary that occurred in town Monday, May 25 at the Lynn Haven Baptist church, 1501 Washington Avenue.

The church was burglarized by two suspects who were observed on surveillance video within the church stealing various items throughout. Items taken include cash, checks and various electronic. No forced entry was made into the church and it is unclear how the suspects made their way inside, according to police.
If anyone has information pertaining to this incident, call the Criminal Investigations Division at 540-983-0617 ext. 7046. Anonymous tips can be left through online reporting or by calling the Crime Stoppers Anonymous Tip Hotline at 540-345-9508. The Roanoke Valley Crime Line 540-344-8500 is also an available outlet for reporting anonymous tips and any information leading to the arrest and conviction of a Suspect Capture 2criminal offender can result in a reward of up to $1,000.
