George Morehead, Class of ’64, and Jim Borgan, Class of ’64

Again on Saturday night, August 26, Jim Brogan and George Morehead hosted the WBHS All Class Reunion at the Vinton Moose Club. What a great time it was!

Jim and George began this tradition 14 years ago after losing one of their classmates and decided that five years between reunions was too long. We so agree. There was well over 200 Terriers celebrating with them Saturday night. There are not enough words to thank these two for their continuing support of William Byrd High School and the Town of Vinton.

Congrats and Happy Anniversary to Melanie and Robbie Wilmoth on their 25th and they renewed their vows, dressed in their tye-dyed shirts. Unfortunately, Robbie ended up in the hospital for treatment on his foot, but is doing better now.

Also, Bonnie and James Wood, 43 years, Terri and Vic Robinson, Steve and Darlene Marshall, 36 years, Bryan and Beth Maiden, 12 years, Chris and Sabrina McCarty, 2 years, Tonda and (avid reader) Ronnie Fugate, 21 years, Janine and Frank Stone, Missy Renee and Gerald Montagne. May you all have many more together.

Paul Barnard, Class of ’64, and his wife Joy
Carolyn Hodges Williams, Class of ’61, with Chris Keaton, Class of ’73, who came from Nashville to join in the fun. Chris is a member of North Carolina Music Hall of Fame and likes to be known as a fashion icon and Maddi’s Dad. His wife, also in attendance, is Gina Humphries Keaton, Class of ’78. So happy to have you with us, Chris and Gina.

Congrats and Best Wishes to Deborah Roger and Keith Bohon Jr. on their recent marriage! May you have a long life together.

Happy Birthday to all that has had birthdays this past couple weeks,

Get Well wishes and prayers go out to Nancy Bowser, Paul Ribelin, Penny Cronise, all at Springtree rehabbing; Doug Patterson – Friendship; Amy McVey Dodson (surgery); Mike Chewning, he rang the bell; Lisa Haldren (improving), Pete Dooley (improving), April Hall, Tommy Wood, Ruthy Jennings (surgery), Jason Peters (surgery soon). I know I’m missing people but prayers are with you.

Thank you for all the get well wishes for me. This has been rough three weeks with pinched nerves and spurs in my neck and shoulder. It is not fun. Hoping for relief soon.

Thanks to Angie for writing last week and Carolyn Williams helping out this week; Shirley Rice, my driver to doctors; and Jimmy and Suzanne, food. Love Ya.

Hope everyone has a great Labor Day Weekend!

Nancy Huff, Class of ’70, and Len Hale, Class of ’70
