Suzanne Lothes has been selected as the new assistant principal at W.E. Cundiff Elementary School. This is her 16th year with Roanoke County Schools. She has taught Health and Physical Education at W.E. Cundiff beginning in 2002. She then taught early childhood special education at Burlington and Cave Spring Elementary Schools. She has co-taught geometry and earth science at Northside High School.
Lothes received her undergraduate degree from Roanoke College. She went on to earn Master’s Degrees in Early Childhood Special Education and Educational Leadership from Radford University.
Lothes will begin at Cundiff on July 1, replacing Dana Stevens, who has been named an assistant principal at William Byrd Middle School for the 2017-18 school year.
W.E. Cundiff will also have a new principal when school re-opens. Sherry Bryant has retired and Ashley McCallum will become the new principal.
