The William Byrd lacrosse teams swept William Fleming in a doubleheader in Roanoke Tuesday. The boys won 13-4 and the girls took a 17-0 win.

The victory was the first of the season for the boys’ team. Junior midfielder Tanner Pruzan led the offensive push with six goals while Austin Nardo and Joe Shail both had two goals and an assist and Scott Wyatt added two goals. Sophomore midfielder Lucas Stroop had a goal and an assist and Nate Kelley had one assist. Goalie Payton Meadows recorded 10 saves.

For the girls, Chloe Pascoe led the Terriers with six goals and two assists while Katie Letz and Natalie Ferguson had two goals each.

The Terriers are back in action tonight with a doubleheader at Christiansburg. Both teams will look to keep the momentum going against the first year Blue Demon program.
