Greenway sworn in to serve Vinton on School Board

VINTON–Tim Greenway is now the official representative serving the Vinton Magisterial District on the Roanoke County School Board. He was sworn in on November 9 by Judge James R. Swanson at the Roanoke County courthouse and  immediately took his seat on the board. His first meeting as a member was on November 12.

Greenway ran unopposed for the seat in a special election on November 3. Mike Stovall was elected to the position in November 2014. He resigned to become the Director of Transportation for Roanoke County Schools.  Mike Altizer was appointed by the board to serve out Stovall’s term until the special election could be held last week.

Greenway will serve until December 31, 2017.
