The Vinton Area Chamber of Commerce hosts its final Mingle at the Market concert for 2017 on Saturday, November 11.

Chamber Executive Director Angie Chewning invites everyone to come out for the “season finale of the best bands, craft beer, food, and fun” featuring crowd favorite Fuzzy Logic.

Fuzzy Logic brings together four talented players with varied backgrounds in music— Jerry Parris, drums and vocals; Terry Hannabass, guitar, fiddle, banjo, and vocals; Rob Campbell, guitar and vocals; and Raymond Powell, bass and vocals.

Their website says they “bring a little of anything and everything to any event,” and are “comfortable on any stage.  From funk, to country, rock or dance, Fuzzy Logic can do it all.” As for their influences, “you name it, we dig it.”

The music gets under way at 7 p.m. on the Vinton Farmers’ Market Stage and concludes at 10 p.m.

The Lick BBQ & Co. will be selling concessions along with an adult beverage garden by Blue Ridge Beverage and Deschutes Brewery.

This November Mingle will feature “outdoor heating,” a tradition begun in 2016 with some fire barrels to keep the crowd warm.

The price of admission is $5. Children under the age of 12 may attend at no charge. Those who attend need to bring a lawn chair for seating. No pets are allowed. ID is required.

This 2017 Mingle at the Market concert series has been a roaring success with attendance far above previous years and resounding enthusiasm from concert-goers. Mary Ellen Campagna, who recently attended her first Mingle with her son Ben Moore, commented that she was overwhelmed by the “happy, loving, inclusive atmosphere” at the Farmer’s Market event. Her son has MS and he was welcomed and embraced by so many concert-goers at the festivities. She was grateful for the social outlet Mingle offered him.

Campagna was especially impressed by the family atmosphere in a crowd that was very diverse in age and ethnicity, with many families and their children enjoying the music and dancing together.

“I applaud Vinton and the Chamber of Commerce for this gift to the community,” said Campagna. “We really enjoyed our evening.”

Platinum level sponsors for the Mingle concerts are the Town of Vinton, the Vinton War Memorial, Twin Creeks Brewing Company, Vertex Signs, and Comfort Inn Valley View. Gold sponsors include Roanoke County, Freedom First, Vinton Roofing, and BB&T.

Silver level sponsors include HomeTrust Bank, Lotz, PFG, Cox Business, BNC Bank, Berkshire Health Care, the Vinton Moose Lodge, Magnets USA, Grand Rental Storage, GCR Tires & Service, and Cardinal IG. Bronze Level sponsors are The Vinton Messenger, Member One, Appalachian Power, and Winter Storage.
