The Boys Soccer Booster Club at William Byrd recently held a fundraiser which brought in $10,000 for the soccer teams. The boosters joined forces with Chick-Fil-A to sell 1,000 stuffed cows that were dropped (wearing parachutes) from a helicopter at the stadium at William Byrd High School. Prizes were awarded for the cows landing closest to the WB target centerfield. This was the first “Cow Drop” in the area. The money raised will be used for sports equipment, uniforms, travel, and other needs of the teams.
