The William Byrd boys tennis team took five of six singles matches and swept the doubles as the Terriers defeated Pulaski County last week. Byrd took an 8-1 decision in Vinton.

Singles winners for Byrd were Robbie Faust at number one, Brandon Mitchem at two, Cole Stohler at four, Logan Bond at five and Colin Honaker at number six. Faust and Mitchem won at first doubles, Meet Patel and Taylor Crouch won at number two and Bond and Matty Butler won at third doubles.

It was the first win of the season for the Terriers as they take off for spring break this week. The girls played at Pulaski but no score was reported.

The Byrd teams are now off until April 13, when they play William Fleming. The boys will be home and the girls are at Fleming
