After the parade!

Some feel things end after the parade, but always there’s a party going on at the War Memorial afterward, with refreshments and materials for all to make cards for the troops.

All ages take part in this activity – to say thank you to all that are serving and protecting our country and can’t be with loved ones at Christmas.

Always entertainment – this year Keith Woods at the piano playing all the Christmas songs, fantastic. They announce the winners in the parade of the floats and, of course, pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus. You are never too old to drop in and sit on Santa’s or Mrs. Claus’s lap. It is just a fun time, thanks to War Memorial, TOV, Vinton Chamber of Commerce for bringing joy to the Town of Vinton, plus all those that participated in anyway. Yes, ’tis the season!

Happy Birthday wishes go out Mike Kennerly, Karen Hubbard, Kate Waldron, Kenny Calhoun, Homer Duff, Beth Whitehead, Renee Rice, Fallon B. Burch, Jody Lee Edsall, Brian Gregory, Tina Yates, Elizabeth Quarles, Norman Altizer, Wyatt Paul Jacobson, Skylour Stultz, Paul St.Clair, Jackie Glover, Henry Bryant, Sara Elizabeth Timmons, Jennifer Bryant, Joe Bryant, Robin E. Geisler, Lou Ann S. Howell, Lindsay Nantz, Bev C. Roberts, Mary Simmons, Bethany Porter, Kathy Gallimore, Linda Poff, Tammy S. Overstreet, Dawn Seay, Penny Lloyd, Victoria B Wingo, Lisa Duff, and Anne Piedmont. Hope you all had a great one!

Get Well wishes and prayers go out to Patti Esperti (home after surgery, recouping), David Wray (in hospital, pneumonia), Irvin McGarrell (doing better), Dennis Cummings, Cline Brown, Sam Cundiff (RMH), C.W. Matthews, and Richard Turner (recovering from surgery last week). Just so many people having health problems, just hope they can all be well to celebrate Christmas. The virus people are having is terrible. I know, still getting over mine. Thank for all the prayers and concerns. Thanks to the doctors, keep them well to help others. Bless them.

So many things happening in the area:
