Fall Sports and band seniors in the Class of 2026 recognized at Byrd game

Seniors in the William Byrd High School Class of 2026 who play fall sports or perform in the
Marching Terriers band were recognized at the Terriers football game on Nov. 7. After they were
introduced, the seniors walked the track in front of the main grandstand with their families to be
recognized.

Football players were up first before the game. They include:

Andrew Reynolds, escorted by his mother Natalie Ruble and stepmother Lauren Thomas. He
also runs track. After graduation, Andrew plans to attend trade school.

Kevin Green, escorted by his parents, Stephanie and Michael, his sister TT, and his brother
Ryan. He plays lacrosse, runs indoor track, and is a member of YoungLife. He plans to attend
Emory and Henry University and study sports media.

Jamez Toler, escorted by his father Stephen Toler and his stepmother, Carissa Varca. He is also a
member of the track and field team. He plans to attend college and major in psychology and
business and play football.

Justyn Rozenboom, escorted by his parents Amber and Jonathan Rozenboom, his sister Jenna,
his brother Jay, and his cousin Addi. He has also been a member of the lacrosse team, FCA, and
YoungLife. He plans to attend Roanoke College, major in exercise science, and play lacrosse.

Cannin Lutz, escorted by his parents Christy and Brad Lutz and his sister Cally. He has also been
a member of the baseball team and DECA Club. He plans to play baseball in college and study
sports marketing.

Tate Kotz, escorted by his parents Shawna and Mitch Kotz, his sister Carsyn, and his brother
Briggs. He is also a member of the baseball team, DECA Club, Beta Club, and Student Voices.
He plans to attend a four-year university, major in business, and play football.

Tyler Harris, escorted by his parents Stacey and Shannon Harris. He is also a member of the
baseball team. He plans to attend Wytheville Community College to become a lineman.

Evan Tabor, escorted by his parents, Shelly and Frank Tabor and his sister Bailey. He is also a
member of the wrestling team. He plans to attend Coastal Carolina University to major in history
and minor in religion.

Titus Beatty, escorted by his parents Latisha Hawkins-Beatty and Tim Beatty. He is also a
member of the Leo Club and Student Voices. He plans to attend a four-year university and major
in sports medicine.

Dominic Myers, escorted by his mother, Misty Beason, and his father, Darren Myers. He has
also run track and been a member of DECA. He plans to attend the University of Maryland and
study radiology.

Keegan Harold, escorted by his mother, Karly Spangler, and his father, Jason Harold. He has
also been a member of outdoor track and field and FCA. He plans to attend trade school and
become an electrician.

Cross Country seniors recognized included:

Drew Bartley, escorted by his parents Stephanie and Josh Bartley and brother, Grant. He also
runs outdoor track and has been a member of symphonic band, NNDCC, and the Beta Club. He
plans to attend Virginia Western to study engineering and continue pilot training.

Chase Gonzales, escorted by his parents, Kensley and Chris Gonzales. He also runs indoor and
outdoor track. He plans to attend Shepherd University in West Virginia and major in business.

Lucy Whitenack, escorted by her father Carl Whitenack, and sister, Bindi. She has also run indoor and
outdoor track and is a member of the Beta and Leo Clubs. She plans to attend a four-year college
but is uncertain about her field of study.

Collin Mills, escorted by his parents, Erin and Matthew Mills. He is also in the golf program and
has run indoor and outdoor track and is a member of FCA, the Beta Club, and DECA. He plans
to attend college in the fall but is currently undecided on which school.

Golf athletes recognized included:

Blake Austin, escorted by his parents Ashley and Greg Austin. He has also been a member of the
DECA Club. After graduation, he plans to attend Virginia Tech and major in business.

Tyler Chambers, escorted by his parents, Ashlee and Tommy Chambers. He has also played
baseball and is a member of the Beta Club. He hopes to attend the University of Virginia and
major in business management.

Asher Claybrook, escorted by his parents, Beth and Scott Claybrook. He has also played baseball
and been a member of the Beta Club. He plans to attend Virginia Tech and major in engineering.

Mitchell Sigafoes, escorted by his mother Angela Sigafores. He has also plays soccer and runs
track. He plans to attend James Madison University but is undecided on a major.

After their half-time performance, band seniors were recognized including:

Josh Allen, escorted by his parents Megan and Scott Allen. He is also a member of the Beta
Club. He plans to apprentice as an electrician after graduating.

Ceiliann Baldwin, escorted by his father, Isaac Baldwin. He has also been a member of
T.T.R.P.G. and the Stamp Club.  He plans to attend Radford University and major in music.

Braeden Booth, escorted by his mother, Jill Harrison, and father, Steve Booth. He has also been a
member of the tennis teams and the Beta Club. He plans to attend college to study biochemistry
on a pre-health track.

Pete Cardenas, escorted by his parents Yesica and Pedro Cardenas. He has also been a member
of T.T. R. P. G. and the Film Society. He plans to attend Virginia Western Community College
and major in mechanics.

Draven Flinchum, escorted by his father, Matthew Flinchum, and his grandparents Judy and
Danny Flinchum. He plans to attend community college and enter the workforce.

Sam Geist, escorted by his parents, Lori and Erich Geist. He was also a member of PRISM, a
club that is now inactive. He plans to attend Virginia Western for two years and then transfer to a
four-year college to major in computer science and minor in art.

Chloe Gill, escorted by her parents, Deedra and David Gill. She is also a member of the SCA and
Beta Club. She plans to attend Virginia Tech and major in residential environmental design.

Elizabeth Martinez, escorted by her mother, Danielle Middleton, and her father, Joshua Ratcliffe.
She has also been a member of the varsity lacrosse team, Beta Club, International Club, and a
Student Advisory Council representative. She hopes to attend Cornell University and major in
biology.

Ryan McIntyre, escorted by his mother Abigel McIntyre and grandmother, Evelyn McIntyre. He
has been a member of Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, and the Beta and Stamp Clubs. He plans to
attend college to major in psychology with the intent of becoming an adolescent psychologist.

Dagan Miller, escorted by his mother, Deanna Schuler. He has been a member of the Concert,
Symphonic, and Jazz bands, as well as the T.T.R.P.G. Club. He plans to attend college and major
in music education.

Carlee Partleton, escorted by her mother Samantha Herald and brothers Lucas Partleton and
Walker Herald. She is also a member of the Leo Club. She plans to attend Virginia Western.

Keith Schult, Jr., escorted by his mother Jennifer Schult and his brother Jacob. He has also been
a member of the swim team and tennis team. He plans to attend a four-year university and study
mechanical engineering.

Catherine Underwood, escorted by her mother Jacqueline Grissom, and her father, Daniel
Underwood. She plans to attend Virginia Tech, and major in psychology, while pursuing being
part of the Color Guard for the Marching Virginians.

Dixie Venable, escorted by her parents, Jessica and Matthew Venable. She is also a member of
the Beta Club and T.T.R. P. G. She plans to attend Hollins University and major in studio art.

Noah Williams, escorted by his parents Beth and Steve Williams and his brother Joshua. He is
also a member of the Beta Club, T.T. R. P. G Club, and Help Save the Next Girl. After
graduation, he plans to explore majoring in anthropology but is undecided on a college.
