The William Byrd High School Navy National Defense Cadet Corps (NNDCC) Unit honored
veterans on Veterans Day by displaying posters of veterans who have died in active service, are
currently serving, or who have retired, on a “My Military Hero Wall.”
Throughout the months of September-November the NNDCC Unit collected posters from
students all throughout the school. The posters contain the name of the veteran, years of service,
and the branch in which they served.
Our unit was pleased with the result of posters made by students. We hope to have double the
number displayed on our wall next year for Veteran's Day.
We want to say thank you to all who have died and served to help defend our freedom and our
country.
