BYRD ATHLETES COMPETE ON RC TRACK TEAMS
Two William Byrd athletes are making their mark on the Roanoke College track teams. RC sophomore Hunter Bohon is a multi-event performer for the men’s team and junior Savannah Gheen is a jumper and sprinter on the women’s team. Bohon was recently named second team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference in the high jump event for the recently completed indoor season.
Outdoors, Gheen finished second in the women’s long jump open section at the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic in Lynchburg last weekend. Savannah had a personal record jump of 5.16 meters. The Maroons travel to Greensboro, NC this weekend for the Aggie Classic, hosted by North Carolina A&T.
