On Friday, November 10, William Byrd High School will host an event to celebrate local veterans. The event is a collaboration between the Student Council, Social Studies, Choral and Band, Art, and Culinary Arts Departments, and the AFJROTC. Veterans are invited to attend.

This year the event will begin with a breakfast in the annex gym at 9 a.m. Following breakfast, there will be a Veterans Day assembly in the main gym beginning at 10 a.m.  After the assembly, veterans are invited to sit down for a meet and greet with William Byrd students in the annex gym. Students are eager to talk with veterans and thank them for their service. The event will wrap up by noon.

All guests attending that day are asked to come in through the front office to register as a visitor.
