The Town of Vinton and the Vinton Area Chamber of Commerce have launched the new Community Video Program designed to highlight the different aspects of the Vinton Community that makes it the “In” place to eat, shop, play and live.
By utilizing an easily viewable interface on the official Town of Vinton and Vinton Area Chamber of Commerce’s websites (www.vintonva.gov and www.vintonchamber.com), this video program will entice viewers to learn about area attractions, economic development opportunities, quality of life, and so much more.
“The town worked with CGI Communications Inc. to film locations all throughout Vinton and East Roanoke County to ensure that those who watch the videos get a virtual tour of the entire community,” said Assistant Town Manager and Economic Development Director Richard “Pete” Peters.
“The six videos are presented under categories of Welcome to Vinton, Schools and Homes, Quality of Life, Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development and Community Organizations and are designed to market the town to prospective new businesses and residents,” Peters continued. “The video program will also be a tool that the town and chamber can utilize to market the characteristics of the community through various social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn. In addition, the program will also allow existing businesses based in the Vinton community to market their services via a direct web link featured within the video framework.
“CGI Communications was very professional in their approach in creating these videos and did an amazing job of capturing the essence of Vinton,” said Angie Chewning, executive cirector of the Vinton Area Chamber of Commerce. “We are always looking for new and better ways to promote Vinton and provide value-added services for our chamber members, and this program hit the mark perfectly”.
