The Town of Vinton, Virginia, has received a proposal for a non-exclusive, long-term franchise (maximum 25 years) to use and occupy the streets and public rights-of-way of the Town for the purpose of constructing, installing, and maintaining wireless communications facilities and infrastructure. A copy of the full text of the proposal is on file in the Office of the Town Clerk, 311 South Pollard Street, Vinton, Virginia 24179. The proposals include backhaul facilities as well as wireless communications (“small cell”) facilities.
The Town will receive additional proposals until the date below. All proposals must be in writing. The right to reject any and all proposals is hereby expressly reserved. Proposals shall be read, publicly, by the Mayor of the Town of Vinton at the regular meeting of the Town Council, held in the Council Chambers, 311 South Pollard Street, Vinton, Virginia 24179, on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, and after the reading of the proposals, Council will either proceed with advertisement of one or more franchises for consideration of an award, or defer the matter to a subsequent meeting.
ALL PROPOSALS MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2019 AT 5:00 P.M., in the office of the Town Clerk at 311 South Pollard Street, Vinton, Virginia, 24179. Ensuring receipt is the responsibility of the proposer.
