The Roanoke Area Youth Softball Association(RAYSA) tournaments are being played at the James I. Moyer Complex in Salem and Darrel Shell Park in Roanoke County this week.

The RAYSA tournaments opened with several games on Sunday, followed by a full slate of action Monday. Vinton’s 10A team opened with a win over South County Blue on Monday while the 10B team lost to the South County Marlins.

In 12 year old action, Vinton’s A Team won twice Monday, beating South County Blue at 6 pm and South County Red at 8 pm. The B team beat South County at Darrell Shell Park.

Tuesday games were postponed due to inclement weather and the schedule was adjusted with hopes of getting all the games in. Championship games are scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the Moyer Complex and Darrell Shell.
