Progress continues on the Vinton Macado’s restaurant, located on Washington Avenue and occupying the site of the former Vinton Library.
General contractor Jason Lucas of Lucas Construction said the building has been completely gutted, and that they are in the process of framing up the interior walls.
The construction equipment at the front of the building on Washington Avenue is for preparing 13 new parking spaces, including handicapped spaces. An outdoor seating alcove is included in the plans.
The company tentatively plans for construction to be complete by the end of the year.
