The EventZone “Party in the Park” concert series kicks off the summer 2018 season on Friday, May 25 at the Vinton Farmers’ Market with a performance by The WORX band from 6 to 10 p.m.
The non-profit EventZone partners with the Town of Vinton for the Party in the Park concerts throughout the summer on the fourth Friday of each month. These are fundraising events for non-profit organizations. Proceeds from the May 25 concert benefit the Vinton Woman’s Club.
Gates will open for each event at 6 p.m. Admission is $6. Food and beverages are available. These are family-friendly events with children under 12 admitted free. No coolers or pets except for service dogs are permitted. Bring your own seating.
The EventZone has announced the Scholarship for the Arts winners for 2018: Ashlyn Wolfe from Lord Botetourt High School, Isaiah Young from Bassett High School, and Brook Ludy from Cave Spring. Each winner receives a $1,000 scholarship.
The WORX is followed by Legacy Motown Revue on June 22, Chairmen of the Board on July 27, Domino on August 24, and Too Much Sylvia on September 28.
