This is the first year for the event which Auxiliary members hope to continue each year.
Veterans were invited to eat free with a minimal charge for others. The event was held at the
Mount Pleasant Volunteer Fire Dept. on Jae Valley Road with assistance from members of the
Fire Dept.

The William Byrd High School Navy National Defense Cadet Corps was on hand to assist with
the event—lifting, toting, serving, cleaning up, thanking veterans for their service, and even
performing the National Anthem.
