Please be advised that the Vinton Town Council will hold a public hearing at its meeting on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Council Chambers of the Vinton Municipal Building, located at 311 South Pollard Street, Vinton, Virginia, concerning the proposed amendment to the Town of Vinton’s FY 2023-2024 budget to appropriate funding for various operational expenditures, including additional paving, personnel expenditures, maintenance projects, contractual services, and materials and supplies in the total amount of $1,533,539.00 in the General Fund. State law requires a public hearing to be held whenever a proposed budget amendment exceeds 1% of the locality’s total budget.
