Cross, Lavinder, Quinn, & Park Family Dentistry in Vinton celebrated its grand re-opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Vinton Area Chamber of Commerce on November 6.
The dental practice has offices in three locations around the Roanoke Valley. In addition to the Vinton office at 224 W. Virginia Avenue, there are locations in Daleville and Electric Road in Roanoke.
The entire practice includes Drs. Russ Villier, Steven Kanetzke, Griffin Cross, Lisa Lavinder, Stephen Quinn, Adam Park, Scott Ward, Fred Coots III, Brittany Wood, Sandy Chacko, Eugenia Larrowe, and Logan Williams, along with many dental assistants, dental hygienists, and office staff.
The dentists who work at the Vinton office include Dr. Villier, Dr. Kanetzke, and Dr. Cross (Mondays only).
Dr. Kanetzke attended undergraduate school at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in June 1981. He began practicing in Vinton in 1981 and moved to his current location in 1985. Dr. Kanetzke grew up in Racine, Wis., and currently resides in Botetourt County with his wife, Cheryl, four dogs and four cats.
Dr. Villier is a Louisville, Ky. Native, calling the Roanoke Valley home since 2014 with his wife, daughter, and son. He attained his B.A. from Hanover College before earning his D.M.D. at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. When not practicing dentistry, you can find him hiking on a trail, paddling on the cove, or driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Dr. Cross is a Salem native and graduate of Virginia Tech and the Medical College of Virginia. He is also a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Cross has been awarded “Top Doc,” Best Chairside Manner and Best Dentist for multiple years in local polls. He resides in Salem with his wife Ashley and three sons. He enjoys soccer and water sports at Smith Mountain Lake.
The reopening of the dental practice in Vinton comes after significant renovations were made to the office when the practice was purchased from Dr. Kanetzke in January 2018. He was a solo practitioner for many years before that.
At that time, there was a tenant in the side of the building that is now the dental practice. When that lease was up, that portion of the building was gutted and totally renovated. The practice made it a point to work with local businesses for the renovations, including the Hamlin Shepperd Construction Group, Emily Mangus Interiors, and photography courtesy of Brian Wells, the general manager of the Hotel Roanoke.
The office, described by the practice as “new and beautiful,” reopened on June 22, 2020. The old dental office is now used for storage.
Cross, Lavinder, Quinn, and & Family Dentistry offices serve the greater Roanoke Valley with patients from all over the area. The local Vinton office serves many patients from Vinton, Roanoke, and the Bedford area.
