Josh Cunningham has resigned as William Byrd boys’ basketball coach after four years to concentrate on his new profession as a pastor at Lighthouse Bible Church in Vinton.
Josh resigned as a teacher at Byrd in January, but left the option open to continue coaching. He decided to leave the coaching bench after the recently completed season, which was cut to just 10 games due to the pandemic.
Cunningham, a William Byrd graduate, had a four year record 24-58 after coming from Roanoke Catholic to replace Kevin Tuck as Terrier head coach.
