Congratulations to the 2020-2021 Byrd Band members of the Virginia Band and Orchestra Director’s Association, District VI All District Bands.
“In a year with extreme challenges for the fine arts, these students were able to rise to the occasion,” said Denise Aspell, Director of Bands at William Byrd Middle School. “Way to go Byrd Band!”
Noah Williams, a 7th grade clarinetist, and Becca Radford, an 8th grade clarinetist/pianist/saxophonist from William Byrd Middle School made middle school All District Band.
Latriva Pierce, a 10th grade saxophonist and Maggie Parkhurst, a 10th grade piccolo/flutist from William Byrd High School made the high school All District Band.
