Pursuant to the provisions of Section 15.2-2204 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, the Town of Vinton, Virginia, hereby gives notice of the following: Joint Planning Commission and Town Council public hearing to be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Council Chambers of the Vinton Municipal Building, 311 South Pollard Street, Vinton, Virginia. The Planning Commission and Town Council will also hold a joint work session on February 4th, at 5:15 p.m., prior to the public hearing. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive comments concerning:
An Amendment to the Town of Vinton Comprehensive Plan to Adopt and Incorporate by Reference into the Town Code the Town of Vinton Safe Streets and Roads for All – Comprehensive Safety Action Plan, Fall 2024.
