Please be advised that the Vinton Town Council will hold a public hearing at its meeting on

Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the

Council Chambers of the Vinton Municipal Building, located at 311 South Pollard Street, Vinton, Virginia, concerning the action to officially list the Vinton Historic District on the

Virginia Landmarks Register and the National Register of Historic Places.

The Vinton Downtown Historic District appears to be eligible for a National Register listing at

the local level of significance. The purpose of this meeting is to provide information to affected

property owners and local officials about the meaning of a National Register designation.
