The Town of Vinton and the Vinton Messenger have united to “Spotlight the Town of Vinton Staff” during their respective birthday months. The Town is proud to have these employees on staff and wants the community to see who is behind the scenes making the Town look great and operate efficiently.
First up is Sergeant of Patrol Christopher Froeschl who has been employed by the Vinton Police Department since 2012. Sgt. Froeschl is married with four children (Megan, Eric, Callie, and Cameron), two grandchildren (Harper and Margaret), retired Police K9 (Jax), and two cats. He has been recognized by his department and Town Council as Officer of the Month several times.
His hobbies are flying airplanes and ice hockey. A fun fact about Sgt. Froeschl is that he rescues animals by volunteering to fly them to their adoptive homes up and down the east coast. He celebrates his birthday on December 20.
Andrew Critcher is the Grounds Crew Leader in the Public Works Department. He is married with twins—a boy and a girl. He has been employed by the Town of Vinton since 2017. He was recognized by Vinton Town Council in recent months for his actions, along with others in the Public Works Department, in assisting a motorist whose car had broken down during a water main break on Mountain View Road. His birthday is on December 26.
Jill Acker is the Administrative Manager in the Public Works Department. She has been employed by the Town of Vinton since July 2012. Her birthday is December 29.
