Forty-two new United States Army recruits took the Oath of Enlistment at a ceremony at the Vinton War Memorial on June 14. The event, sponsored by the Stonewall Jackson Chapter of the Association of the United States Army, also marked Flag Day and the 243rd birthday of the US Army.
