Walter “Bo” Bohon of Bohon Construction has been named “Member of the Year– Builder” by the Roanoke Regional Home Builders Association.
Bohon is the owner and operator of Bohon Construction Co., Inc. He has been a builder for over 40 years. He grew up learning the trade from his father, who was also a building contractor.
Bohon Construction is a licensed Class A general contracting firm doing residential and commercial building since the 1970s. The company works primarily in Roanoke, Salem, Bedford (including Forest and Smith Mountain Lake), Franklin, Botetourt, and Craig.
Bohon has been a member of RRHBA since 1984. He teaches the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation classes at Virginia Western Community College. He has also recently been appointed to the Bedford County Board of Zoning Appeals.
The RRHBA was chartered in 1955 to “serve, support, and represent the building industry.”
It serves Botetourt, Craig, Floyd, Franklin and Roanoke Counties and the cities of Roanoke and Salem
The RRHBA is a non-profit trade association affiliated with the Home Builders Association of Virginia and the National Association of Home Builders. It represents the interests of residential and commercial builders, developers and re-modelers, as well as suppliers, subcontractors and related service providers.
